By car:  Hitra is situated about 600 km from Oslo. Follow E6 or RV3 to Berkåk. Make a left turn towards Orkanger. Then follow the signs towards Hitra and Fjellværøy. Make a right turn at the sign to Fjellvær just once. Then follow the signs towards Akset.

By plane:  The lowcost airplane company, Norwegian Air Shuttle, make flights to Tronheim Airport Værnes from most of the cities in Europe. They offer tickets from about € 30,-

They also have good terms for bringing diving-gear as luggage.
